How it works
Pick Your Words
Use Spark Silly's nostalgic interactive Fortune Teller pages or Wheel of Words pages (inside the book) to randomly pick three or more words (example: sloth, spaghetti, catapult) to use as elements in your creation. Let your imagination flow!
Imagine & Draw
In the sketchbook, use your randomly picked words to weave together an illustration in any style and level of detail you desire. Get silly and have fun! (You decide if you want to draw or write a story first!)
Write a Story
On the back of your sketch page, use the lined paper to write a creative, related short story using your illustration and random words as inspiration. No perfection required, just let your imagination loose!

From our experience, ages 7+ understand most of the words in our random word generators and follow the instructions easily. Everyone is different, though, so it's tough to say! Please let us know your experience!
We are currently shipping to addresses in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii). Our books are printed one at a time as they are ordered to limit waste, so please allow 2-3 business days to prepare and ship. We use ground shipping, and it typically takes 2-5 days. We will offer international shipping soon, so pleasesend us a messageto let us know your interest and where you'd like us to ship to!
We kept the vocabulary pretty understandable to a 7+ year-old. Lots of animals, objects, and activities that kids will likely be familiar with. Of course, we wanted it to be silly, so there are a few words like "poo" and "diaper," but nothing that the average silly person would find offensive. We did our best to be careful of this, so please let us know if we missed the mark somehow!
Our six Fortune Teller word generators are the only pieces that need to be cut out of the book. They unfold nicely back to flat pages and can be placed into the middle of the book to keep them from getting messed up.
